About Us...

The Tyrol Basin Ski Patrol is a non-profit, volunteer organization that serves the skiing and snowboarding public at Tyrol Basin Ski and Snowboard Area in Mount Horeb, Wisconsin. We are affiliated with National Ski Patrol and are dedicated to helping those who share our love for outdoor, winter sliding sports.

We are trained and certified in Outdoor Emergency Care and Rescue. We are also certified in professional level CPR. We regularly refresh and improve our skills in emergency medical care, on–hill handling and transportation of patients, emergency scene management and chairlift evacuation. The goal of the Tyrol Basin Ski Patrol is to render first aid to skiers and snowboarders at Tyrol Basin and to ensure a safe environment for all visitors. We also aspire to foster a positive image of the area, promote skiing and snowboarding, and educate the public in safe skiing and snowboarding practices. If you are interested in joining our patrol or if you have any questions, please contact us at: SkiPatrolTyrolBasin@yahoo.com *Please check your junk/spam folder if you do not see a reply in a few days.

Ski Area Responsibility Code:

Skiing and snowboarding can be enjoyed in many ways. At areas, you may see people using alpine skis, snowboards, telemark skis, cross country skis, and other specialized equipment, such as that used by the disabled. Regardless of how you decide to enjoy the slopes, always show courtesy to others and be aware that there are elements of risk in skiing that common sense and personal awareness can help reduce. Observe the code listed below, and share with other skiers and riders the responsibility for a great skiing experience.

Know the code. It's your responsibility.

Note* This is a partial list. Be safety conscious.
